Wise men say that rushing is violence
And so is your silence when it’s rooted in compliance
To stand firm in loving defiance, make art your alliance
Give voice to the fire

Move people to the beat of the wind
Gather yourself and begin to dance the song until it ends
We are winners, champions of the light
Forming in numbers and might, keep the truth close in sight

Medicine Woman, Medicine Man
Walking with grace, I know your face, and I trust your hands
Medicine Woman, Medicine Man
Walking with grace, I know your face, and I trust your hands

Find your teachers in the voice of the forests
Unplug, you can’t ignore this, wisdom of the voiceless
Remedies are bountiful and surround us
From the garden to the farthest, prayer made of star dust

Find your healing in the music that calls you
The voice that enthralls you, what do you belong to?
Eyes out! There’s the setting of the sun
Give thanks to each and everyone

The lesson is the Medicine Woman, Medicine Man
Walking with grace, I know your face, and I trust your hands
Medicine Woman, Medicine Man
Walking with grace, I know your face, and I trust your hands

I believe in bending backwards and extending
My traps trip back until the message is in action
The yard is feeding, stop stark the disbelieving
‘Cause the garden holds the shards, the medicine is in the seeds when

We hold tight to our right to protect and
We know our might is tenfold in connection
Our elders hold them bright lights, we protect them
The medicine is evident: the wolf, the hawk, the bear clan

We hold tight to our right to protect and
We know our might is tenfold in connection
Our elders hold them bright lights, we protect them
The medicine is evident: the wolf, the hawk, the

Alnobak – The Story of The Drum

Published October 7, 2022 by tindertender

It is said that when Creator was giving a place for all the spirits to dwell who would be taking part in the habitant of Mother Earth, there came a sound a loud BOOM, from off in the distance.

As Creator listened, the sound kept coming closer and closer until it finally it was right in front of Creator. “Who are you?” asked Creator. “I am the spirit of the drum” was the reply. I have come here to ask you to allow me to take part in this wonderful thing.” “How will you take part?” Creator questioned.” I would like to accompany the singing of the people. When they sing from their hearts, I will sing as though I was the heartbeat of Mother Earth. In that way, all creation will sing in harmony.” Creator granted the request, and from then on, the drum accompanied the people’s voices.

Throughout all of the indigenous peoples of the world, the drum is the center of all songs. It is the catalyst for the spirit of the songs to rise up to the Creator so that the prayers in those songs reach where they were meant to go.

At all times, the sound of the drum brings completeness, awe, excitement, solemnity, strength, courage, and fulfillment to the songs. It is Mother’s heartbeat giving her approval to those living upon her. It draws the eagle to it, who carries the message to Creator. It changes people’s lives.

Flicker Medicine

Published October 2, 2022 by tindertender

I’ve just been gifted a Flicker.

I’ve just learned that it is rare for a Flicker to give up its body to someone, gifting them powerful healing medicine.

The Spirit Realms know I love dearly the canine, and it was one of my furry children who delivered it to me.

I was taking the carrot bread out of the oven, turned around and “whoa!” Surprise!! It had already lost its body heat, so I know he didn’t kill it.

I contacted my Cherokee sister right away to ask how I should approach this, as my heart felt strongly connected to this little being.

She told me that Flickers don’t die on the ground. She said they tend to fly, and fly, until they cannot fly any more, and then they fall from the sky.

I knew instinctively this was meant specifically for me. This is huge!

I happened to have some leaves from the Sacred Tobacco, so I wrapped some with the sacred sage and cedar in cloth, added some frankincense and myrrh, special from me, with a prayer.

I wrapped the prayer tie with the bird, gently folding it into a plastic bag trying not to mess the feathers, and put it in the freezer.

She will help me create a medicine fan from its wings and feathers this winter.

I am extremely honored that this magical bird chose me for this blessing.

Thank you Flicker friend, thank you Creator, my King my God, thank you Spirit Family. I was told today that I am heavily protected, and this gift confirms it.

In great gratitude ….

Thank you for loving me.

Slippery Slope ~ Second Chances Are So Few

Published October 2, 2022 by tindertender

Substances … nicotine, alcohol, cannabis, hemp …

The reason people like these is because, used responsibly, they fine tune the bodies fields to a frequency the inner essence is most comfortable with, in whatever moment the experience is.

Stress … anger … depression … sadness … pain … high energy, so much so the body becomes “over-amped” … the mind races, as well as the heart …

Differing substances affect the nervous system, the receptors in the body, and either calms, soothes or elevates.

Why some people are “addicted” to alcohol, or heroin, or that which is like an anti-depressant … or whatever the reason the nervous system and mind seek to ease its discomfort …

It’s an inner ‘seeker of balance’, a slippery slope, especially if not utilized as medicine, consciously.

They can heal, or destroy the essence of a human.

Often people move beyond balance into what “feels good” and this is only another form of imbalance.

As a Creator, your well-being is truly, most often, your creation or destruction.

Surface level thought about it is what leads to misuse, overuse, abuse.

As the doctor ”used to” say, taking the least amount of medicine needed is best for the body, the mind and overall health.

If choosing to be your own doctor, testing plant medicines, prescriptions or drink, choose the least amount that brings ease.

Don’t be in it to “get high”.

Balance in all things.

Action, reaction.

Cause and effect … effect and cause.

The Will must be strong and the self control steady … otherwise, it becomes a situation of not feeling right without it.

You see it in folks who take prescriptions for pain and mental balance.

You see it in folks who need to get high to get along.

You see it when they are without it.

You see it …

You know it.

On one level or another.

Personally, or in awareness.

Psyllium Husks and Your Health

Published September 16, 2022 by tindertender

https://www.mountsinai.org/health-library/supplement/psyllium

Psyllium is a soluble fiber used primarily as a gentle bulk-forming laxative in products such as Metamucil. It comes from a shrub-like herb called Plantago ovata that grows worldwide but is most common in India. Each plant can produce up to 15,000 tiny, gel-coated seeds, from which psyllium husk is derived.

The soluble fiber found in psyllium husks can help lower cholesterol. Psyllium can help relieve both constipation and diarrhea, and is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome, hemorrhoids, and other intestinal problems. Psyllium has also been used to help regulate blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. When psyllium husk comes in contact with water, it swells and forms a gelatin-like-mass that helps transport waste through the intestinal tract. Several large population based studies also suggest that increased fiber intake may reduce risk of colon cancer, but other studies have been conflicting.

Colon Cancer

After some promising early studies, newer results examining whether a high fiber diet protects against colon cancer have been mixed. Most large, well-designed studies have found only a slight association between fiber intake and colorectal cancer risk. In addition, fiber does not appear to protect against the recurrence of colorectal cancer.

Constipation

Many well-designed studies have shown that psyllium relieves constipation. When combined with water, it swells and produces more bulk, which stimulates the intestines to contract and helps speed the passage of stool through the digestive tract. Psyllium is widely used as a laxative in Asia, Europe, and North America.

Diabetes

Studies suggest that a high-fiber diet may help lower insulin and blood sugar levels and improve cholesterol levels in people with diabetes. It may also reduce the chance of developing diabetes in those who are at risk.

Diarrhea

Psyllium can also be used to help relieve mild-to-moderate diarrhea. It soaks up a significant amount of water in the digestive tract, making stool firmer and slower to pass.

Heart Disease

Adding high fiber foods (such as psyllium-enriched cereals) to your diet may help lower heart disease risk. In fact, studies show that a diet high in water-soluble fiber is associated with lower triglyceride levels, and a lower risk of cardiovascular disease.

Hemorrhoids

Your doctor may recommend psyllium to help soften stool and reduce the pain associated with hemorrhoids.

High Blood Pressure

Although studies are not entirely conclusive, adding fiber to your diet, particularly psyllium, may help lower blood pressure. In one study, 6 months of supplementation with psyllium fiber significantly reduced both systolic and diastolic blood pressure in overweight people with hypertension.

High Cholesterol

Soluble fibers, such as those in psyllium husk, guar gum, flax seed, and oat bran, can help lower cholesterol when added to a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet. Studies have shown psyllium can lower total, as well as LDL (bad) cholesterol levels, which may help reduce the risk of heart disease. In combination with cholesterol-lowering drugs, such as statins, psyllium provides an added benefit to reducing cholesterol levels.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

Although studies suggest conflicting results, some physicians recommend psyllium for mild-to-moderate cases of diarrhea from either ulcerative colitis or Crohn disease (another type of inflammatory bowel disorder). In one study of people with ulcerative colitis, psyllium was as effective as the prescription drug mesalamine (Pentasa, Rowasa, Asacol) in maintaining remission. However, for some people with IBD, too much psyllium can make symptoms worse. Work closely with your doctor to decide how much fiber is right for you.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Several studies have found that soluble fiber (including psyllium) helps relieve some symptoms of IBS, such as diarrhea and constipation. Other studies, however, have found mixed results.

Obesity

Studies and clinical reports suggest that psyllium may make you feel fuller and reduce hunger cravings.

I read in the 1930’s a couple doctors had determined that cancer cells are filled with parasites.

Why do you suppose doctors NEVER recommend parasite cleanses?

Sickness is their “business”.

Healthy Snacks

Published September 2, 2022 by tindertender

I’ve made another batch of juiced vegetables and apples. Light Food for the Light Body.

I drink a pint of this nearly every morning over a couple hours. Some people complain of diarrhea, eating something solid like toast with it helps.

I’m also making ginger chews. These are a great thing to keep in the bedside drawer for all you midnight snackers. It has helped me to stay in bed rather than roam the kitchen for munchies.

I made a very potent ginger decoction before adding the sugars. Sure heats up the mouth!! This is the best spoon lick ever!!!

The candy is a hard candy rather than a chew. Next time I won’t cook to the same temperature (250 degrees), I’ll stop at 220 degrees or so.
The best ginger candy ever!
So much better than store bought!
