Living and Losing and Loving Again

Published March 29, 2025 by tindertender

Children should all have pets, so they can get used to managing themselves through the pain of losing the love of the connection. It’s gentler than losing an “intimate” union and love. If we cling too tightly, we can become a monster, we can heart and soul shatter and wish to destroy the entire world for the pain of it. Practicing this release makes the loss, or change within union, bearable, while remaining open to loving again. I really don’t like it when my doggo leaves me, but another comes, and teaches me to love again.

The Black Horse

Published March 15, 2025 by tindertender

AI Overview

In the Book of Revelation, the black horse and its rider, often interpreted as famine, symbolize distress, calamity, and the scarcity of food, with the rider holding scales, signifying the rationing of essential goods.

Here’s a more detailed explanation:

  • Biblical Context:The black horse appears in Revelation 6:5-6, where it is described as being ridden by someone holding scales, and a voice is heard saying “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius. And do not harm the oil and the wine”.
  • Symbolism of Famine:The scales in the rider’s hand are a clear indication of famine, as they are used to measure and ration food during times of scarcity.
  • Other Interpretations:While the primary interpretation is famine, some also see the black horse as representing the contrast between the rich and the poor, or the consequences of societal unrest and war.
  • Other Meanings:In other contexts, “black horse” can also refer to a “dark horse” – a previously unknown person or thing that wins or succeeds unexpectedly.
  • Examples:
    • In Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, the Headless Horseman rides a black horse, adding to the story’s eerie atmosphere.
    • In some cultures, black horses are associated with rituals and specific roles, such as being presented during ceremonies.

A Shamanic Vision

The next imagery that I saw was a galloping black horse. Black horses are messengers and carriers of positive, mysterious energy. Seeing a black horse in your meditation means there is an energy that is about to enter your life. This energy will have a positive effect on your life, though it may not be obvious at first. This energy can come into your life in a myriad of ways. It could be a person, a career change or an unexpected event. Actually, it could be anything. The key here is that the sequence of events that will be set into motion by this energy will have an overall positive effect. If you see a black horse, be on the lookout for something extraordinary on the horizon.

Black horses symbolize the ability to overcome obstacles and come out on the other side. It is also widely known to be a symbol for death. This does not always mean death in the literal sense; in this case it means leaving behind things which no longer serve you. The black steed symbolism is both death-defying and death-seeking. In other words, it is symbolic of death and rebirth. It signifies the closing of one door and the opening of another. It can also symbolize the need for you to take a leap of faith. Trust your intuition even if you can’t see the reason or the result.

If a black horse appears in your life, you may need some reassurance that you are powerful enough to take on any challenge that comes your way. While many people hold on to things that no longer serve them out of fear, you must be brave enough to take the power and do what you need to do in order to come out on the other side. A black horse is an omen of powerful and courageous transformation. The notion of death and rebirth portends that the black horse will bring an end to things and relationships which no longer serve you. In doing this without fear or hesitation, the horse is transforming and creating a better version of you.

Horse medicine teaches you to be true to your authentic self. Though you may be quite attached to your plans, ideas, self-image, social position, security and relationships, it is time to strip away old ideas and habits; eliminate the outmoded or worn out. Dive into the problem without thought of immediate gain or purpose. This is the end of an old cycle and the beginning of a new one. Now is the time for bold action.

Enduring, Selfless Love

Published March 3, 2025 by tindertender

In the middle of the city’s hustle and bustle, where people walk past each other without noticing, a man stands out not for what he says, but for what he represents. He has no home, no wealth, and no certainty about what tomorrow will bring, but he possesses something far more valuable than all that: the unconditional love of his dogs. He lives on the streets, facing the unforgiving cold in winter and the scorching heat in summer. Despite the hardships, he never complains. He asks for nothing for himself, only for them. These dogs are his family, his reason to keep going.

Every morning, before the city awakens, he rises and gently strokes the backs of his companions who sleep by his side, trying to share the little warmth he has. He carefully adjusts the makeshift blankets he’s created from scraps of fabric, making sure they are comfortable and protected. While he endures hunger and loneliness, his only concern is ensuring his friends don’t feel the same abandonment. He shares with them every crumb he receives, sacrificing his own food so they won’t go hungry.

Some passersby look at him with curiosity, others with disdain. “If he can’t take care of himself, how can he take care of these dogs?” they wonder. But they don’t see what he does when no one is watching: how he checks their paws to make sure they’re not hurt, how he covers them with his body when it rains, how he speaks gently to them when they’re scared. To him, these dogs are not a burden, but his reason for being. Each wag of their tails is a silent thank you, each loving gaze a promise they’ll never abandon him.

So, night after night, he keeps going, no matter the cold or the obstacles. Because to him, these dogs are not just animals, they are proof that true love cannot be bought, but is given unconditionally, with the soul, expecting nothing in return.

Piss Ant

“Our job is to be the irritant piss ant stinging them on their ankles at every opportunity.”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pissant

An annoying little piss ant

An inconsequential, irrelevant, or worthless person, insignificant and annoying, especially one who is irritating or contemptible out of proportion to his or her perceived significance.

A pissant is somebody who thinks he’s so damn smart, he can never keep his mouth shut. No matter what anybody says, he’s got to argue with it. You say you like something, and, by God, he’ll tell you why you’re wrong to like it. A pissant does his best to make you feel like a boob all the time. No matter what you say, he knows better.

THE STORY OF THE DRAGONFLY

Published June 26, 2024 by tindertender

From the book “Tales to grow and heal” by Michel Dufour

“At the bottom of an old pond lived a group of larvae that did not understand why when any of them ascended through the long lily stalks to the surface of the water, they never descended again where they were.

They promised each other that the next of them who would rise to the surface, would return to tell the others what had happened to him.

Shortly after, one of these larvae felt an irresistible desire to ascend to the surface.

He began to walk upwards through one of the thin vertical stems and when he was finally outside he began to rest on a lily leaf. Then she experienced a magnificent transformation that turned her into a beautiful dragonfly with beautiful wings.

He tried to keep his promise, but it was in vain.

Flying from one end of the pond to the other, she could see her friends in the background.

Then he understood that even if they in turn had been able to see her, they would never have recognized one of their companions in this radiant creature.

The fact that after that transformation that we call death, we cannot see our friends or family, or communicate with them, does not mean that they have ceased to exist…

They are not here, they went to another place to take care of us from there with a different view.

Death is nothing more than a change of mission.”

The Honey Bee

Did you know that one of the first coins in the world had a bee symbol on them?

Did you know that there are live enzymes in honey?

Did you know that in contact with metal spoon these enzymes die? The best way to eat honey is with wooden spoon, if you can’t find one, use plastic.

Did you know that honey contains a substance that helps your brain work better?

Did you know that honey is one of the rare foods on earth that alone can sustain human life?

Did you know that bees saved people in Africa from starvation?

One spoon of honey is enough to sustain human life for 24 hours?

Did you know that propolis that bees produce is one of the most powerful natural ANTIBIOTICS?

Did you know that honey has no expiration date?

Did you know that the bodies of the great emperors of the world were buried in golden coffins and then covered with honey to prevent putrefaction?

Did you know that the term “HONEY MOON” comes from the fact that newlyweds consumed honey for fertility after the wedding?

Did you know that a bee lives less than 40 days, visits at least 1000 flowers and produces less than a teaspoon of honey, but for her it is a lifetime.

Thank you, BEES!

Honey Badger

Published January 9, 2024 by tindertender

The safest thing to do when you encounter a honey badger is to stay calm don’t provoke the animal, and if you get a chance to escape from the honey badger, run fast and hide somewhere.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honey_badger

Honey badgers, known for their fearlessness and tenacity, carry a unique spiritual message. They represent courage and the ability to take on adversaries many times their size. They teach us that size and appearance don’t dictate our ability to face life’s battles.

Moreover, honey badgers embody the spirit of perseverance and endurance. They remind us that regardless of the odds, we can achieve our goals through determination and an indomitable spirit. Therefore, their spiritual significance revolves around the themes of relentless pursuit, courage, and resilience.

Superficially Badger people appear unalarming. However, they have an extraordinarily strong core; this becomes apparent when they speak truth. There is no buttering up here – rather, cutting through the BS right to the heart of the matter. That can be harsh, but it can also be very positive, supportive, and uplifting.

Badger Medicine instills strength, self-reliance, and a fresh, bold outlook. Badger helps you be ready for everything, although sometimes his approach to a situation is a tad unconventional. If you’re in a rut, you won’t stay there long when working with Badger.

Badger … portends that you are about to achieve some victory or a turnaround of ill-fortune.
