Creating Self

There’s a difference between seeing an other, admiring them, then copying them trying to imitate their existence in every way, shedding any sense of self … and … incorporating into the neural highways of one’s own mind, character and Self., those qualities which instill a greatness being birthed and expanded into an ever increasing “big bang” development of personal awareness.

You are a master at studying your environment. You take on the good qualities of those around you, and you leave the negative behind. When you’ve learned all you are able, you extract yourself. Then you implant self into another environment, and glean those new-found qualities in others, examples which can assist personal growth and expansion.

If people are unwilling to present self transparently, there’s nothing to embody, nothing of truth being presented as an offering, of a particular life. There’s nothing offered to present a growth opportunity in the environment.

So you go to another source, another meet-up, church, social function. Over and over again, you flow into situations and groupings, absorbing everything your discover that sits right with your soul … learning as much as you can, about as much as you can.

People are fascinating! There are so many unique ways of approaching life, and a never-ending example of greatness … all one needs do is pay attention, and learn.

We don’t have to take on every characteristic of those in our environment at any given time. We get to choose the building blocks from the examples we fill our environment with.

I pray with gratitude for all the strengths and wisdom I’ve gained through suffering. I know it is sometimes the fastest way to gain knowledge. Since my life mantra has always been to “learn as much as I can about as much as I can” I try to stay in a state of grace while in a challenging position. Falling apart is often a way to gain wisdom and strength and courage to overcome whatever it is, in future scenarios.

It’s those “invisible friends” that assist us in the darkest hours. Be grateful, when the seen world and the people in it force you to step back, it will bring you to those who truly wish to assist you. Embrace them, even while the seen world insists they aren’t real.

One of the most wide spread habitual patterns among people is telling others what they should do to get along better, even without request. It’s a curious thing. Is it collective hypnosis? Why are people so concerned with molding the lives of those around them?

Maybe because that’s the role of parent, and most people are parents?

From personal experience, as one who used to point at the world outside self and say it needs to be fixed … a solitary life of shadow work during the past 20 years has led me to completely reformat my inner world, my Self.

It changed everything.

The Raven

The common raven is a fascinating and highly underrated bird. They’re beautiful, but also extremely intelligent. Their brains are relatively large for their size, and they’ve been known to craft and use tools, plan for the future, barter, play games like hide and seek, and mimic human voices as well as man made sounds like an engine starting.

A group of ravens is called an “unkindness” (maybe because they’re so tricksy), but they do have friends…as well as enemies. They remember faces and have episodic memories- they remember human faces and characteristics in association with an emotion or event. They also remember being cheated or conned, and have been known to hold grudges for up to a month!

Ravens are very worldly birds, and can (and do) live pretty much anywhere. Their populations are exploding, and they’ve found ways to adapt to and take advantage of encroaching human environments. But they’re one of the few rare species that has.

Ravens are everywhere, and witness to everything; every effect of climate change and act of environmental destruction. This drawing, titled “Messenger” conveys a raven as the communicator between humans and nature. The vintage pocket watch, nearly at 00:00, is a message that we are nearly out of time, with a red ribbon marking it as urgent. While ravens themselves may not be currently endangered, they still rely on us the conserve and protect their natural world.

The Firmament

The sky is blue because it’s the waters of the heavens. The previous deluge was caused by a hole being punctured in the firmament. Ninmah swore her children would never be drowned again. You see Elon’s rockets exploding in a burst when it hits the firmament? They’re trying to drain the heavenly waters, create a breech.

Lanterns of Hope: A Twilight Journey

As the year’s final chapter unfolds in silence,
I stand amidst twilight’s embrace,
Contemplating life’s tapestry, its vibrant dance
Of joy, of sorrow, in the introspective space.

Within me, a sacred fire burns bright,
Kindled by life’s enigmatic prose,
A tranquil warmth, a flickering light,
Nurturing love that in quiet grows.

In this season, when shadows stretch, yearning,
When discord’s rife among mankind,
My spirit soars, verses turning
Despair to dreams, hope intertwined.

In these waning hours, my heart’s sole desire,
Is an inner glow to kindle our spirit’s spire,
Casting forth light, steadfast, bold,
In light’s sanctuary, where heartbeats hold.

One earth, one heart-tapestry, united stance,
Against hardship’s gales, in unity, we dance.
Let not spirits be chained by sorrow’s deep,
For in togetherness, hope’s threads we keep.

So, let’s cradle the dying ember of the year
With verses remembered by hearts far and near.

Myrrh

Do you know the meaning of myrrh?

Myrrh is a rare thing, it’s a resin extracted from a low tree called camphoras typical of the semi-desert region of North Africa and the Red Sea. Besides being one of the first gifts Jesus received by the three magical kings on the occasion of his birth, the myrrh also possesses a powerful spiritual meaning.

Camphora, tree from which resin is extracted, is a symbol of strength and endurance of love. “Love is as strong as death,” said Solomon (Songs 8.6). True love needs strength to resist, act and stay. And so is the cammiphora, a tree that survives in a dry region, without resources, with the harsh reality and scarcity of a desert and that continues to produce its fruit.

The word myrrh means bitter in Arabic, and it is considered as a natural remedy for wounds because it possesses strong antiseptic and anti-inflammatory power. In China, myrrh has been used as a treatment for wounds, bruises, and bleeding for thousands of years.

The myrrh is the feminine essence of the Cosmos. It represents the manifestation of the pure soul, of full understanding. It is the essence used as a detector of us, which induces purification and protection.

We can harness all the power of myrrh currently through oils and incense with this fragrance. It is used in rituals that call for spiritual cleansing and protection, the myrrh acts blessing, protecting and healing. When used, it awakens the feeling of fraternity, of self-knowledge and harmony, being widely recognized for its power of renewal, of generating calm and tranquility with its scent.
