Future Planning

Published February 9, 2019 by tindertender

I am at an age where thought of my ‘final’ move and dwelling place are at the forefront of mind. Where shall I go? I have plans in mind of the needed set-up and will stay in the PNW.

This is a decision which must not only be guided by those beyond who have always been with me, but also by scientific evidence of earth shift, sea rise, and climate change.

Since this will (hopefully) be my final move, it is something that must be considered very carefully.

River of Life

Late at night thoughts come and go as I lay in a state between worlds, conscious and subconscious, waking and sleep.

I considered spinning cocoons of light around certain situations in order to brighten the energy when I was in various places. Since I choose not to impose my will upon others preferred states, I soon came to the conclusion that it is better to spin a cocoon of light around myself, fluid, and since it was a cocoon of my making I could stay within it, or move in and out of it as I willed. From this point, in theory, it is possible to throw little spears of light into the smoky haze which emanates form different forms.

I consider the word and concept of ‘spears’, and yet again my view on the way light is utilized changes. There is no need to throw anything, whether positive or negative.

While considering all the ways to visualize this light and energy work, I was visited by Owl.

In the Navajo belief system, The Owl is the envoy of the supernatural world and earth-bound spirits.

Owl medicine is a feminine trait and is symbolically associated with clairvoyance, astral projection, and magic.

I continued to move in a world between waking and sleeping where it became clear that fighting does not win wars, fighting keeps the wars from ending. There must be new techniques embraced for bringing peace to this world if it is sincerely something the majority wish to happen.

As I came to this conclusion I was visited by Golden Eagle. The head of this majestic bird was tilted down as though peering at those on the ground. Its eyes were fierce.

Eagle Medicine is the power of the Great Spirit,
the connection to the Divine. It is the ability to live
in the realm of spirit, and yet remain connected
and balanced within the realm of Earth. Eagle
soars, and is quick to observe expansiveness within
the overall pattern of life. From the heights of the
clouds, Eagle is close to the heavens where the
Great Spirit dwells.

The energy generated by trying to force issues, or outcomes is utilized by those who oppose the results desired. It is important to relax, allowing the energetic input to mellow. Like a limp noodle it doesn’t have anything to offer the opposition as rigidity or force. There is less to be manipulated.

All people are having the same experience. We are watching each other as we do this. It is easy to make judgement about what we see rather then appreciating what each life brings to the whole. Rather than improving on areas of need, we tend to judge and punish.

Life is a river. When individuality is removed we can visualize all people on the banks of this river. Their fingertips are playing in the flow as it passes by … dabbling here and there in the experiences it offers.

Since this River of Life is beyond time, and yet within it, those of the past and the present and the future are all in line with their fingertips touching the flow. Millions, upon trillions of lives, united in this same stream, all energetic influences intertwined.

While writing of these late night thought forms I remember my instructor and what she said. In this work, if you come from a place of love, for the highest and best good for what people are able and willing to accept, unattached from outcomes or the need to impose our will on them, then the healing will be all that is needed. (not verbatim, but from memory this is the gist of what I absorbed from the lesson).

There is no ‘fail’ when there is simply love and a desire to promote peace and well-being.

Blessings Of A Quiet Haven

Published May 17, 2018 by tindertender

As I listen to the sounds of running water I am transported to my bedroom, 37 years ago. The window is open and the river runs just outside. The crickets are singing, and the frogs are croaking. I see the light of the moon shine through the curtain.

The shock of quiet is great when city life is left behind. No people sounds, no neon lights, stars come out at night and the wonder of it is amazing. The city takes nature from the human and gives constant disruption.

Tar bubbles in the pavement on a hot day, poked and deflated with a little stick. Pitch bubbles in the bark of the trees, popped and watched as it flows out and down. Sticky spots on hands where dirt clings to the pitch spots, the aroma strong and pure. Sun glistening on the rivers waves, watched as the water flows through bend after bend, seen from the top of the highest tree.

Red ant hills alive with scurrying ants, working to tend their home. Black ants flying about before they land and drop their wings. Old coca cola bottle buried in the hard soil from long ago. Trail along rivers edge, grasses grown high on either side. Deer flies, Horse flies, mosquitoes.

Field of green grass, trees at the edge where deer and elk bed down for the night. Mushrooms and wild strawberries, three petaled flowers, fallen trees feeding them all. Birds flying through the branches, resting there too. Squirrels, coyotes, bear, and cougar. Fish spawning and resting in the banks of hidden rivers edges.

The wind blows though the hair, brushing the skin, filling the lungs. Deep breaths, a song is sung for the pleasure of my ears, and those I do not see. A prayer given to the forest, questions asked which are answered, in thought, in sensing.

Blessings, these memories are, for when I remember I am transported once again to this place, this quiet haven where so few travel.

River Of Life

“You can’t do that!” she said, and slapped the cuffs on and hauled her off to jail.

The drug epidemic is huge and many people fall into it’s trap. Hurting so much from the pain they’ve experienced they would do anything to find relief, but most are not equipped with knowledge of healthy techniques to handle it, nor are there meet ups which will help them learn. So they turn to the thing that others in their community may have turned to, a mind altering substance which will numb the pain, and for a moment make them feel better.

The jailer wanted to understand, so she purchased what the young woman had been taking and tried it herself. Little did she know she would then fall into the same trap.

Life is like a river.

River

Sometimes we get carried off by it, tumbled among the current scraping on the rocks at bottom and then churned to the top again. If we work hard, or are thankfully exposed to a method which helps us to see more clearly, we will find ourselves on the bank of the river … watching it flow by while marveling at the beauty and power of it. Yet there comes a time when we may slip off the bank and once more find that we are tossed about in the current of it, and hopefully have the strength to once more make it to the banks. There are others who graduate to flying above the river, seeing life as those tossed and on the banks cannot. They soar above seeing it all. Seemingly they are impervious to the snare, but even they, when diving for fish, can become caught in the raging flow of it and once more have to make their way to the banks, and then to the air.

ALL people start out in the river. Depending on the amount of work one wishes to put forth will depend on the situation they create for themselves. It truly is all about choice from the moment one realizes they are in the river called life.
