From The Heart

Published February 25, 2022 by tindertender

Immortality o’ersweeps all pains, all tears, all time, all fears ~ and peals,
Like the eternal thunders of the deep,
Into my ears this truth ~ Thou liv’st for ever.
~ Anon

Love, which proclaims thee human bids thee know
A truth more lofty in thy lowliest hour
Than shallow glory taught to human power,
“What’s human is immortal!”
~ Bulwer

Coward

Bold at the council board
But cautious in the field.
~ Dryden

I know him a notorious liar,
Think him a great way fool, solely a coward.
~ Shakespeare

Cowards fear to die; but courage stout,
Rather than live in snuff, will be put out.
~ Sir Walter Raleigh

Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never taste of death but once.
~ Shakespeare

Authority

Published January 25, 2022 by tindertender

Man, proud man!
Drest in a little brief authority,
Most ignorant of what he’s most assur’d,
His glassy essence, like an angry ape,
Plays such fantastic tricks before high heaven
As makes the angels weep.

~ Shakespeare

Authority intoxicates,
And makes mere sots of magistrates.
The fumes of it invade the brain,
And make men giddy, proud and vain;
By this the fool commands the wise
The noble with the base complies.
The sot assumes the rule of wit,
And cowards make the base submit.
~ Butler

Inner Light

Published April 3, 2021 by tindertender

Years ago the dream arrived

God divined a Rainbow Tribe

All with care and love of life

United – Joined – Husband – Wife

The time was vague but would appear

A future need – To heal – Repair

The ground we walk -The air we breathe

Our Mother’s power, to conceive

Distraction – Usury – Market gold

Our hearts – Our minds – Our bodies sold

Our journey long but years pass quick

It’s time to shift the devil’s trick

Come shape the world and all within

Awakened – Learned – Folk and kin

With trust of God and Mother Earth

Choose your purposed gift of birth

The moment lives – No day is set

Responsibility – Don’t you forget

Our greatest power – Our daily bread

To love all life and blessings spread

Rise above – With truth be bold

Spread your wings – All – Young and old

Fight the fight – All natural rites

For living things – Your swords of light

Live Your Life

Published April 1, 2021 by tindertender

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion;
respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours.

Love your life,
perfect your life,
beautify all things in your life.

Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people.
Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.
Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend,
even a stranger, when in a lonely place.

Show respect to all people and grovel to none.

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself.
Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die,
be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death,
so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.

Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

 Chief Tecumseh 1768-1813

Full Wolf Moon

Published January 28, 2021 by tindertender

The sunset embers smolder low,
The Moon climbs o’er the hill,
The peaks have caught the alpenglow,
The robin’s song is still.
~ John L. Stoddard (1850–1931)

Wolf perched on mossy rock getting ready to howl at the new Full Wolf Moon peaking this afternoon; Thursday, January 28, at 2:18 P.M. EST.
1-28-’21.

May your fires rekindle anew, alive, hopeful optimism of regeneration.
