Glowing Hermit-ics

Published February 3, 2021 by tindertender

They say Leo’s love attention, crave it even, wanting to be the center of everyone’s focus. ‘They’ do not know me, or many others.

I am of the mind that people say this about the Leo simply because the ‘horoscope’ that has been printed for decades describes us as such.

Mostly, it’s just “leave us the heck alone”.

But when we shine, we shine so bright, which may cause this misperception, and even cause some to despise us for the genuine happiness we radiate.

And when we radiate happiness, it GLOWS and gets all over everything and everyone. Maybe this is why so many talk smack about our brightness, calling it ego.

Sometimes the brightest lights are the most severely attacked.

The slanderers cannot stand the light shining upon them. After all … we are quite bright, illuminating the shadows some try to hide.

Personally, I find relief when others decide not to focus on me … allowing me ME time … without interruption, or judgement, or scheming ways to manipulate or control.

Maybe I get this from my recluse father.

Genetics … hermit-ics … hahahaa

Affirmation 11-12-2020

Published November 12, 2020 by tindertender

Today is a day to focus on the strength that I must have in order to do what I need to do. There are many kinds of strength – strength of character, the strength of my body, the strength of my beliefs. I can be called on at any time to use one or all of them. I can be strong when I need to be , and use my strength to protect, to defend, to withstand. I can use all of my strengths today, wisely and meaningfully, as and when I need to.

The Message Is …

Do you.

Regardless of what others say you must be.

Regardless of the judgements and attempts to make you feel ‘less than’.

Do you.

Your unique and wonderful you.

The whole of the world, it will seem at times, desires to dictate your character, mold your personality and shift the ‘base’ upon which you stand.

Do you.

Claim your individuality.

Be a significant marker in this world.

Be the best you possible.

That means loving ALL of you, all of your traits, despite others telling you certain aspects of self ought to be rejected, reformatted, forgotten.

Many will deny you, betray you, and try to convince you it is because of you.

It is a difficult process of reclaiming Self, once rejected by self.

Don’t do that.

Do you.

Fully.

Path of the Ancestors

Every year they cross at the same place, cruising through rural yards, sleeping in open meadows.

The path they use generation after generation is so well known humans post signs, alerting drivers to the potential of sighting one, maybe hitting one with a vehicle … a warning.

I think about people and their generational paths.

Were parents, grandparents, and earlier in the familial line alcoholics? Was someone a woman beater? Lazy? No job? Any number of limited behaviors that potentially infected the whole line of life, generation after generation, stuck in the same rut?

Much like the elk utilize the same paths, the same methods of hunting for food on the same grounds as their ancestors. Are they too stuck in a rut? Or do they just do what the mind tells them they should do?

It is every person’s responsibility to examine the functioning of the mind. Taking control of the output … controlling emotions, rather than being controlled by them.

Purposefully looking at habitual patterns and altering course … changing the pattern to something new, for a different experience, for a new potential of growth.

Only by being consciously aware of our mind and the thoughts therein can we master it. This requires work, continual practice.

Negative self talk should be rephrased immediately upon noticing. If it is allowed to continue, it will spew into the world, affecting relationships, causing hardship.

To change perspective and develop new ideas and outcomes, alter habitual patterns.

Now that you are an adult, it is your responsibility to perfect your character.

Be careful of your thoughts, for your thoughts become your words. Be careful of your words, for your words become your actions. Be careful of your actions, for your actions become your habits. Be careful of your habits, for your habits become your character.
