Does darkness cease to exist if it cannot feast on light?

Would light flicker and dim, or burnout, if it could not rest in darkness?

I suppose this could be the purpose of the middle ground.

Why is there so much bickering over the sustenance?

Some want an all you can eat buffet, throwing off balance.

Some want to be the chef everyone goes to.
