Hello lovely,
Last spring I walked into the pasture and beheld a beautiful sight. Mama ewe had just given birth to twins. It was a warm day, and she chose a perfect spot under the shade of a big oak. As I knelt down to welcome them to our farm, this little one wobbled over and touched my fingers with his soft, pink nose.
One thing that stands out to me in life is that birth is always messy, but it is beautiful.
I think the same goes for our creative projects. When you have an idea and you work to bring it into the world, there is a lot of mess. Don’t think that just because you see the clean, finished product of everyone eles’s projects that the mess didn’t exist while they birthed it into being. Every birth is messy.
I wanted to share some of the messy middle I went through to put together the video I shared last week. I published a short blog post about my messy steps.

Whatever creative project you secretly desire to birth into the world, it’s part of the process for it to be messy — physically and mentally. You are birthing something beautiful.
