The truth has been withheld for so long. Even now, my consciousness struggles to release, yet to also hold on. Standing on the edge it was clear that no title or descriptive words could possibly do justice to what life truly is.
I had asked that no title be put on my business card, for it was apparent that titles are limiting in nature. There are some who would say that the ‘title’ makes the man (or woman) … but we are more than that … so much more.
Even with this knowledge, it can be difficult in this world. The person who had lived this life for so long fought long and hard to come back into the comfortable little reality it had always known. But there has been a change.
If there were a way to get to where I was without the discomfort, I would. Fifteen years … a long time it seems, yet just a drop in the bucket.
Does the land of time seem as bewildering to those not of it, as the land of no time seems to me? Fifteen years have passed, yet they speak as though it is still the same day … the same day that it started out as, in which great change occurred.
Loved ones passed … do they know now that I was not fooling when I tried to tell them of it? And those I did not bother bringing it up to, are they now more open minded, more aware?
We are here for a reason, it is not to “survive” … it is to create change … positive change.
Many are lost in the midst of illusion, skimming the surface from day to day, never leaving the shallow end of the ‘pool’. There are others who jump in the deep end thinking it fun, and still others who are thrown into the deep end, forced to learn to swim. This analogy is perfect, for life is exactly like that. Sometimes the mind gets cracked wide open by an experience, it can be quite frightening, even cause death, but many learn to swim and find they are strong enough to come back to the surface, forever changed.
Yes, I am still here. And so are you. There are better ways to do things that will not harm all life as we’ve been apt to do … If we will just listen to each other, assist each other, and embrace the gifts we came to share with each other. Do any of us have all the answers? Of course not, so let us not act as though we do, and instead honor each other for what we bring to the table.
For the betterment of the whole … for life … for each other, and all beings who live with us in this great world.
