Blessings of Change

Published November 6, 2018 by tindertender

What needs to change?

When big events or risky situations arise in life they can leave you with questions. Faith and hope are often what gets us through these times. Professionals, highly skilled, who perform surgeries or other healing modalities are trusted, at times our very life is in their hands.

Divine Power is always at work in our lives. Whatever the outcome is, it will provide information, or experience, that can be utilized for good … personally, and in sharing with others who may have the same experience.

In these situations it is important to recognize a new path is opening and there is protection present. A rite of passage is close. As you pass through a new gateway that will bring change, do not be afraid.

It is time for change, and it will be positive. Respect your own natural cycles. Be mindful of seasonal changes and go with the flow, taking these into account in the diet and activity level.

Resisting natural growth or cycles is not useful to developing a smooth and happy life. It is a natural part of life to transform in our minds and in our bodies, and sometimes that can be a scary process. Sometimes change happens that we do not like and cannot control. This brings opportunity to learn resilience and be creative with solutions.

Celebrate in joyful peace. Be contented with what you have. Dance, sing, love, and create without anxiety. It is time to rest and to cease driving forward for a time.

Crone of power, forever watchful, protect me now. Goddess of spring, assist me to accept the natural cycles of change. Protect me as I walk this new path. I ask for your blessing. Lady of Amenity, dweller in this great land, give me joy! Give me happiness! Grant me contentment. Bring me your blessing.

Turning Tides

One of the most disabling circumstances for humanity is, it has been stripped of the capacity to trust. Many, if not all of us, have had our trust abused. At first we believe it’s a solitary situation, so we continue to wear our hearts on sleeve. Then, it happens again. Now naivety is dissolved, and it becomes harder to have faith in the goodness of people, yet we do, again, believe and hope with faith.

Heartbreak after heartbreak, damage untold … causes friendships to be rare, any type of relationship becomes most difficult to build. This circumstance causes anger, pain, despair even.

I look at women, on women’s day, and I see them opening to each other, even though trust is difficult, still they try. It seems many women have moved beyond the thought of another woman taking their man, or whatever. The courage shown and lived is extremely powerful.

Women have decided on a large scale that we need each other if we are to heal ourselves, and the damage in the world. This union of spirit is the only way out of this mess.

There are many men who stand by woman’s side not as an authority, but as a partner, friend, and co-creator of that which is good, blessing us, and the world with their wider vision.

Seeing young people stepping into adulthood with eyes wide open, strong, and only slightly damaged dna is exciting! They are showing grit and integrity which has been lacking for some time.

As I attempt to turn back my own dna damage, I continue to watch the scene, hope is growing once more, for the future.

The Faithful Shall …

Published March 26, 2017 by tindertender
The state of the faithful cannot be described.
Anyone who describes it shall regret the attempt.
No paper, no pen, no scribe, can record the state of the faithful.
Such is the name of the immaculate lord.
Only one who has faith comes to know such a state of mind. (12)
The faithful have intuitive intelligence.
The faithful know about all the worlds.
The faithful shall never be struck across their face.
The faithful shall not have to go with the messenger of death.
Such is the name of the immaculate lord.
Only one who has faith comes to know such a state of mind. (13)
The path of the faithful shall never be obstructed.
The faithful shall depart with honor and respect.
The faithful do not follow empty religious rituals.
The faithful are firmly bound to the dharma.
Such is the name of the immaculate lord.
Only one who has faith comes to know such a state of mind. (14)
The faithful find the door of liberation.
The faithful uplift and redeem their family and relations.
The faithful are saved, and carried across with the sikhs of the guru.
The faithful, O Nanak, do not wander around begging.
Such is the name of the immaculate lord;
Only one who has faith comes to know such a state of mind. (15)

The Seven Detestable Sins According To The Bible

Published January 20, 2017 by tindertender

Lust – to have an intense desire or need: “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:28).

Gluttony – excess in eating and drinking: “for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags” (Proverbs 23:21).

Greed – excessive or reprehensible acquisitiveness: “Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more” (Ephesians 4:19).

Laziness – disinclined to activity or exertion: not energetic or vigorous: “The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway” (Proverbs 15:19).

Wrath – strong vengeful anger or indignation: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger” (Proverbs 15:1)

Envy – painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage: “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation” (1 Peter 2:1-2).

Pride – quality or state of being proud – inordinate self esteem: “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18).

“There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers” (Proverbs 6:16-19).

So … why do we still do them?

Devi: The Great Goddess

Published December 26, 2016 by tindertender

devi.jpgThe eternal, ageless Divine Feminine

Creator and Preserver

As Virgin and Mother, the Goddess is considered to be the very spring from which every kind of love flows into the world. From the vast ocean of her being the morphogenetic field that produces all forms the Goddess gives birth to all living things. The pouring forth of this love-energy from her timeless, formless source into the field of time constitutes a sacred mystery.

Representations of the Goddess as a crouching woman giving birth to the manifold forms of her creation can be found in Indian art. As the Sky-Goddess Aditi, she pervades all space and is mother to the Gods so revered by the Indo-Aryans.

Maya the Sanskrit word for ‘magic’ and ‘illusion’ describes her role as the originator of all material things, all that is perceptible to the senses.

Displaying the protective and maternal side of her nature, she revels in her multitudinous manifestations and joyfully embraces the bounty of her gifts. Sculptures adorning Hindu temples frequently depict the Virgin Goddess as a young, beautiful and voluptuous woman. Sometimes she stands on her own, at others she is paired with her God-consort.

As Earth Mother, she is also a deity closely associated with Nature and fertility. Images of her priestesses, the Yoginis and Saktas, often incorporate organic forms such as branches or vines, symbolising Nature in its most instinctive form, proliferous and fruitful. Plants, leaves and flowers are commonly used in Indian medicine and, when they appear in portrayals of the Earth Mother they are considered to reflect the magical powers with which she is endowed.

Destroyer

As Devimahatma, Mahadevi or Durga (one of her most ancient titles), the eternally existent mother who nurtures and protects her offspring, the Goddess’s influence swept across North India and was particularly popular in the regions of Bengal and Rajasthan.

Famous for her prowess in battle, Durga the Unassailable used the strength of her will, her knowledge and force of action, to defeat the purveyors of evil and to vanquish the demonic forces upsetting the balance of the universe.

Riding on a lion or tiger, her multiple arms wielding auspicious weapons, she was Cosmic Energy personified. When her mission was fulfilled she returned to her mountain home, promising to nourish the earth and protect her worshippers, only returning should her divine force be needed again.

At the height of this great cosmic battle, Durga was aided by the awesome Kali, who burst from her forehead to devour or crush the army of demons. As Kali drank the seed-blood of her enemies, she rendered impotent the destructive phallic power of her assailants.

Black Kali represents the Crone aspect of the Triple Goddess. With her disheveled hair and lolling blood-drenched tongue, she presents a fearsome figure.

As the active power of Time, her three eyes look to past, present and future. Her thin waist is encircled by a girdle of human hands, symbolizing the accumulated deeds of karma. Around her neck hangs a rosary of fifty skulls, each one inscribed with a magic letter of the Sanskrit alphabet representing the sacred word, or mantra, which vibrates within the primordial creative energy of the universe.

The Dark Goddess’s four hands are also symbolic of her function: one wields a sword to cleave the threads of bondage, another grasps a severed head, representing the annihilation of the ego. Her two remaining hands are poised in gestures to dispel fear and inspire her devotees with spiritual strength.

We can only be truly human through our connection to the Sacred Feminine. She is part of us and we are part of Her. If we deny our feminine aspect, we lead incomplete lives. She helps us to integrate our body, mind and soul. It is the integration of our masculine and feminine aspects which makes us whole and holy. We can be gentle and strong, intuitive and intellectual, inward and outward, reflective and active. We can love one another and care for each as brothers and sisters, as husbands and wives.

We need the Goddess in our lives to repair, to nurture and to heal.

Let Us Do Ourselves A Favor

Published December 4, 2016 by tindertender

We question ourselves. What have we done to so affront nature?
We interrogate and worry God.
Are you there? Ae you there, really?
Does the covenant you made with us still hold?
~ Maya Angelou, Amazing Peace

Image result for pictures of Gods covenantI find myself asking the question a lot. Is He still mine? Even after all that I have been and done? I am curious and  wonder, how can it be that I would be forgiven after the events of the past. I assure myself that I am loved. During my rearing, so called “fathers” came and went, step siblings there for a time, and then gone, never to be heard from again. It struck me that nothing remains the same … ever. I grew into adulthood, and again, people were there for a time, and then they were gone, never to be heard from again. I wondered how my blood father could simply walk away and never attempt to know me … or care.

I wonder too, was this the way it should be? Was it all a necessary journey to solidify my knowledge that there is a greater force in the world than what I can see with my eyes? Having been raised in household(s) that did not include God, I am surprised by this, but I always knew He existed. I would go for long walks in the wilderness and have talks with what I did not see, but felt. I suppose many would call it praying, for me, it was a conversation with an old friend who would never leave me ~ sensed, unseen.

Image result for pictures of hiding behind a false faceThere are those who warn me … they say I let on about too much, I should refrain from letting  my heart and mind, my reality be seen or known. I respond as always, I have nothing to hide. If another chooses to develop an opinion that is not in my favor, that is their issue. Whatever will be, will be. I will not alter myself or my beliefs to make anyone more comfortable. I do not intentionally say or do anything that will cause harm. I practice developing a peaceful mind and heart. I practice every moment, every day. I care.

It is difficult for some to recognize that the need for hiding from one another is not necessary, confirming in our minds our value is. When we sincerely try to do what is right by life, by the earth the water and air, then that is all that is needed. Yes … when young, many of us may have done things that were contrary to this. It is to be expected. We had been trained in the fashion of the day, of the past. Now that we are grown, we have opportunity to pause, look around, break old habits and belief systems, and create our own … new ways of living.

Image result for pictures of love from man on mountainWe are never alone. Even when we feel we are. If we can but recognize this and reach for the One who truly loves us, then He will reach for us in return. It will not happen right away. We must be sincere, and willing to make the change. He knows our hearts, knows our thoughts, He will not be fooled.

Let us do ourselves a favor, and stop playing foolish games in our own minds.

There Is A Different Kind Of Love

Published December 1, 2016 by tindertender

People in the world are being manipulated, and they have been, in every moment of every part of time, since the beginning of time. They do not see it.

Image result for pictures of deep and true loveThere is a different kind of love. One that is true and runs deep into the core of a person, that is warm and sure and true. This love is the love we knew before we arrived here. This love is the love we have been trying to find since we were born. It is not on this plane. In this life, the love between people is good, yes, very good, but what feels like full and true love is only a taste of the reality of what love is.

There is also a ‘spirit’ love from some of those in the unseen, while it may seem that it could be true, is only a fraud, and you will know this because it causes unrest in the mind. The love between people, and the love we may feel from some of those in spirit, is embedded with these things that cause unease and distress.

Image result for pictures of jesus loveAs a young girl I recalled True Love as it is, before I walked into this life I saw Him there on the mountain, so far, yet so near. That love filled me to my very core with a warmth and a wonderful feeling that cannot be expressed rightfully in words, it had nothing to do with physical contact, it was a deep and knowing love, and He was mine … I believe He still is.

As an adult, there were two times I loved deeply, so deeply that when it came time for separation I lost control of my being and suffered greatly. Sorrow can disrupt a persons ability to function, and this is how we know that it never was ‘true’ love, it was an imitation. It may have been close, but it was not ‘it’ as we know from the unease it caused during, and at the end, of the relationship.

LoveThen there are those in spirit who would have us believe that they hold that true love. This is not so. For what they offer is full of things that can unsettle the mind and appear to be controlling, stripping one of their freedom.

The first and True Love is accompanied be the knowing that He is mine. The middle love between people is accompanied by a need to be loved. The third is accompanied by the phrase  “She is mine, She needs me.”

See the difference?

The first tells me He is mine.
The second is full of my personal need, crushed when it is not fulfilled.
The third says to others, She is mine, she needs me.

Big difference between one who gives of Himself, one who gives of herself without reciprocation, and one who is deceived and ‘claimed’.

Be ever watchful. Know that all that is good, everything you have ever experienced as an overwhelming joy, is a glimmer of the truth that reality holds. Set your mind on this. Try and remember in childhood when you, too, received your message that you are never alone and you are loved so deeply that everything after pales in comparison.

I hope you can recall.

Image result for pictures of manipulative from the unseenAs I said at the start, people on this earth, every one of us, as we are born into it, are manipulated by the unseen. Some of us know it. Some of us do not. Some of us did not see it happening and were in such turmoil and pain, we thought this pain was coming from others we could see, we blamed them, and anger grew and the need to cause pain for another was born. The fact is, those that hurt us, and we ourselves when we are led to hurt another, is a manipulation from that which we may not have an understanding of.

The Armor of God

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

13Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth fastened around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness arrayed, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Image result for pictures of warrier in prayer
18
Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints. 19Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, divine utterance may be given me, so that I will boldly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it fearlessly, as I should.

It is important that we recognize the truth of what Jesus said :

The Crucifixion
(Psalms 22:1-31; 69:1-36; Matthew 27:32-44; Mark 15:21-32; John 19:16-27)

26As the soldiers led Him away, they seized Simon of Cyrene on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him to carry behind Jesus.

27A great number of people followed Him, including women who kept mourning and wailing for Him. 28But Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29Look, the days are coming when people will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore, and breasts that never nursed.’ 30At that time, ‘They will say to the mountains, “Fall on us,” and to the hills, “Cover us.”

31For if men do these things while the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”

32Two others, who were criminals, were also led away to be executed with Jesus.

33When they came to the place called The Skull, they crucified Him there, along with the criminals, one on His right and the other on His left.

34Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Place the blame where it belongs. Humans are easy to manipulate. The most obvious example of this is to look back in history and see what has been happening. We do not know the half of it, but what we do know shows that kings and governments, have made a practice of enslaving mankind. They have gotten so good at it, we do not even believe we are slaves. Who do suppose they have relationship with? The one who holds the power of love? or the ones who are masters of dis-ease?

Image result for pictures of manipulation of humans
Who are you? Can you see that you are the rightful heir to Life and everything that is good? You are also it’s protector.

With honor we should hold ourselves accountable for our actions, we should not fall into the role of ‘victim’. The choice remains ours, even though it is difficult to pull our minds away from those who have tied strings to us, who manipulate us.

Turn off the television. They do not report the truth, and broadcasts are full of violence which numb the mind to atrocities.

The power of LIFE is in our hands. We are the ones who decide what will be, and what will not be. We do not need another human being to tell us what is right. WE KNOW.
