Afternoon Treats, and Concern

Published August 7, 2017 by tindertender

Yesterday I treated myself to the first mineral water soak, wrap, and massage I have ever experienced. I cannot believe I waited so long to indulge in this wonderful activity. Past ~ so much money and time have been spent on not so healthy practices. I lay on the cot in full wrap, just inside the open door, I listened to the birds speak … back and forth their calls to each other sounded, many different bird dialects from various species, SO beautiful.

I took video of the place I lived for 7 years. This is where I matured into adulthood.

I am saddened to see the once lush and full forest dwindling away as it dries up and deteriorates. I know exactly what is causing it and am so discouraged, for if the forests die, the animals will too … and that includes us.

My hope is that many people will begin to take note and understand the destruction that is happening right before our very eyes. We see it in the skies, evidence supporting the truth found right here in the trees, and indeed, in our own health issues. Our gardens do not grow as they once did. The FDA, who allows Monsanto’s poison in our foods and fluoride in our water, is doing nothing to stop the overhead spraying which pollutes soils all over the US. They now want to tell organic farmers what they can, and cannot do to ensure good crop growth.

It is so important to see through the facade and pay attention to the manipulation. It is the only way we will be able to stop it, for awareness is the first step.

The thought of this forest being purposefully dried up, which will in turn, from a tiny spark, cause it to burn until absolutely destroyed, infuriates me. The spoon fed stories just don’t cut it any more.

They have destroyed the natural patterns of the earth. If they stop it will get worse before it gets better, however, if they do not stop, life extermination is a definite reality.

Genetically Modified Food

What is REALLY going on here? Who are they working for? Why do they want human life gone, and why are they modifying our atmosphere??

Organic Farm to be Forcibly Sprayed with Roundup

An Organic Farm Under Threat

Azure Farms is a working, Certified Organic farm located in Moro, Central Oregon, in Sherman County. It has been Certified Organic for about 18 years. The farm produces almost all the organic wheat, field peas, barley, Einkorn, and beef for Azure Standard.

What’s Happening?

Sherman County may be issuing a Court Order on May 22, 2017, to quarantine Azure Farms and possibly to spray the whole farm with poisonous herbicides, contaminating them with Milestone, Escort and Roundup herbicides.

This will destroy all the efforts Azure Farms has made for years to produce the very cleanest and healthiest food humanly possible. About 2,000 organic acres would be impacted; that is about 2.8 times the size of the City of London, England, and 1.5 times the size of the city center of Philadelphia that could be sprayed with noxious, toxic, polluting herbicides.

The county would then put a lien on the farm to pay for the expense of the labor and chemicals used.

Consider this:

“Three Washington counties – Yakima, Benton, and Franklin – experienced an unusually high number of birth defects at around the same time as Glyphosate was being used extensively for several years to eradicate noxious weeds on land and in the water. That birth defect is called anencephaly. Could there be a connection?

It appears that Yakima, Benton, and Franklin counties just happen to have three things in common – the Yakima River, a noxious weed eradication program using copious amounts of Glyphosate for years on both land and in the river, and an increase in anencephaly, which Glyphosate just happens to be suspected of causing.”

Take Action Now

If you are concerned about where your food comes from, enjoy Organic and non-GMO food grown in the United States, and support organic farmers, contact Sherman County Court before May 22, 2017 (and preferably before May 17 when the next court discussion will be held).

  1. Via email at lhernandez@co.sherman.or.us or…
  2. Call Lauren at 541-565-3416.

Raise your voice and speak up for you and your families and communities.

This proposed action is completely unreasonable and would destroy an organic farm and pollute a massive area. If enough voices that benefit from organic produce speak up, the county will understand that there are people that care about their food NOT containing toxic chemicals. And if the supporters of healthy food can have a louder voice than the supporters of toxic chemicals, every politician will listen. PLEASE take action today and share this message. Overwhelm the Sherman County representatives with your voice.

Sweet Clementine, Don’t Die

Published April 7, 2017 by tindertender

These beautiful Clementines are a breakfast I love. There are those attempting to eliminate good foods such as this from the planet. I for one, do not want to see this happen.

I watched a video yesterday of two young ladies in plastic suits spraying chemicals on trees set far off the road. The tubing was shooting a long stream of this poison and they claimed they were spraying for weeds when confronted. They could not have been even 30 years of age which may be a time of considering to have children, to start a family. A disaster is waiting to happen, for them, their offspring, and the plants they kill … the poison was going into a body of water also.

The young people who are naïve are the ones being manipulated by a wage that is probably higher than what they would receive sitting behind a desk or doing other types of work, and they are most likely told this is not a health risk. Blind, they believe what they are told and do not investigate.

This is our home. This planet is the only one we have. There is nowhere else to go. The ones who are killing everything, and everyone, need to be stopped. WE need to stop.

How?

A man set out to be kind one day and asked folks if there was something he could do to help them … carry the groceries to the car among many other suggestions. None were willing to put themselves in harms way, the thinking of today tends to be that of fear. Unfortunately this is the thought pattern that has been fostered, and it has taken root in the minds of many. I must admit that I too am prone to this pattern.

It is difficult to break free from the habit of fear. So many people, if given a chance, will take advantage and even do harm if they feel there will be no repercussion. Honor and morality have been sucked from the hearts of humanity. It has taken many battles, full blown wars, to create hardened hearts, vengeful desires, and calloused opinions. The television is full of people harming each other, even cartoons are harsh, no longer light hearted and fun.

This is the program, and people live it well.

GMO Crop Invasion ~ Law Suit

New bill would allow farmers to sue Monsanto if GMO crops invade their property

(Natural News) Farmer’s in Oregon could finally get a win in their fight against companies like Monsanto. House Bill 2739 is under consideration and, if passed, it would allow farmers and landowners to sue biotech patent holders like Monsanto for essentially trespassing on their property.

The House Bill 2739 summary states that it “Allows cause of action against patent holder for genetically engineered organism present on land without permission of owner or lawful occupant.” Defenders of the bill believe it is a step in the right direction to remedy problems caused by GMOs. Sandra Bishop of the Our Family Farms Coalition, which supports HB 2739, spoke to the East Oregonian website saying, “This is not a wild legal grab. We will not be compensated for our angst. We will only be compensated for provable legal damages.”

Contamination from GMOs can cause farmers to have dramatic economic losses. They run the risk of being rejected by export markets that have banned genetically modified organisms. GMO chemicals can also lead to highly resistant weeds and insects that are nearly impossible for farmers to eradicate, and are too time-consuming for them to manage. Farmers who own organic crops could be subjected to losing their organic certification if their produce becomes contaminated, which would diminish the premium earned on their product. As more markets are looking to carry non-GMO produce, farmers have the opportunity to meet that need and typically get paid a higher price for their product. But the difficulty in preventing contamination is a constant threat that they face. (RELATED: Get more news like this at GMO.news.)

For years Monsanto has bullied farmers when their GMO seeds ended up on the farmers’ land. While contamination can occur many different ways, by no fault of their own, farmers have been sued when unauthorized GMO crops show up in their fields. The companies that own the seed patents typically win these cases, leaving farmers with few options. This bill, if passed, would give power back to landowners who want to continue to have GMO-free farms.

Plaintiffs who decide to sue these companies could receive up to three times the amount of damages caused by the GMOs that harmed their land under the guidelines of HB 2739. Proponents of the bill find this solution to be fair because it now forces Monsanto, and companies like them, to take responsibility since they are the ones who profit from GMO patents. If they believe it will affect their bottom line, they may be more inclined to regulate the contamination. Supporters also note that finding the culprits will be fairly simple by using the genetic tests established when patents are approved.

There are some opponents to the bill of course, including farmers that depend on GMO seeds. They argue that pollination among similar crops go far beyond GMOs. Critics have also tried guilt-tripping supporters, making claims that the passing of this bill could result in seed companies refusing to introduce new innovative products in Oregon. According to the East Oregonian, Scott Dahlman, policy director of the Oregonians for Food and Shelter agribusiness group, stated that if companies face the threat of additional lawsuits, “they will reconsider whether they sell things here.”

This is not the only bill being brought forth in Oregon this year regarding GMO seed patent holders. House Bill 2469, if passed, would allow local governments to restrict their usage altogether.
