Hair is the physical manifestation of our thoughts and an extension of ourselves; so is the thoughts of Mother Earth (Pachamama): we can see the constant growth of her grass hair, which since ancient times were used by peoples Andeans for medicinal and ritual purposes. They have used the hair of the earth in their ceremonies for physical and spiritual healing purposes or in rituals they considered sacred.
Each of our hair represents ourselves, they are strong connection points of both our body and our spirit.
Hair has its own language and character, and how it is styled is extremely important to whoever wears it: The stripe in between represents the alignment of thought, braid: unity of thought with heart, hair down means safety and hair collected conviction; although people currently style without knowing the meaning of their actions, the style in which hair is used is important, because aside vanity or practicality, the way one wears hair will repercute directly over our mood.
With over 1500 years old, it is located at the Regional Museum in Ica.
