This morning I sat here wondering what to do with my day. I decided to go to Cougar Hot Springs. As I got in the car and cued up the address I discovered it was nearly 3 hours away. HA! I thought it was in Cougar WA. It was not.
Instead I decided to cruise up the Clackamas River to one of my favorite places, Austin Hot Springs.
It was so beautiful to submerge everything but my face, feel the warm and cold waters swirl around me as I lay in the river, face to the sky receiving tiny raindrops.
When I left after an hour and a half soak, I stopped a couple times for pictures. It was surreal, the fog hugging treetops.
When I arrived home, I got dressed in some dry clothes and went to Natural Grocers for lunch and dinner supplies. Lunch was a delicious orange and pretzels. Tonight’s feast will be a salad made of green and red lettuce, dates, pear, raspberry, sliced almonds with a raspberry vinaigrette and crackers with herbed goat cheese on the side.
Many worry about what will happen after they die. Question: what are you doing to live as fully and beautifully as possible, right now?
We have this amazing connection to the earth. It is difficult to tell if people remain enclosed in concrete cities.
It’s even difficult for those who have the rivers but no forests.
My oh my … with the forests and the rivers in tandem, healing comes quite quickly. I should know, they healed me twice in this life when I had been completely torn apart and rendered ‘broken’.
Bless our trees and our rivers.
*If you need to pee and you’re outside, give it to the earth, not the rivers and seas.*
Act responsibly and with honor toward that which cleanses and purifies the physical and emotional form.
The return will be exactly what we give.
