As I pulled out of my driveway for the weekend I looked left and saw this beauty. It was only this stretch. I’m not certain if there was additional rainbow behind those clouds, and the colors of the portion I could see were quite intense.
Before I made my way up the hill I took a bit of a joy ride and saw this covered bridge and another building just to the side of the road, slightly beyond the bridge.
Just below was the river (creek).
While running around in open field I received four doses of Bee Medicine 🐝 and a love bite for good measure. It is amazing how shifting perspective changes from a venomous encounter to a dosage for health … mind, body, spirit. Bees sense when we need a little of what they offer, and they always deliver.
I never knew I could fall in love with so many people at once.
I learned this weekend that sometimes when we shed our past it will still occasionally rear it’s head and fight strongly to survive. At this moment I also understood (yet again, and more clearly than before) that I am always at choice as to how I will respond to these moments. With assistance from chosen family, I am happy to say that this moment dissipated in under 30 minutes, replaced with love, and a return to joy.
Knowledge is such a blessing as I age … my own, and others’ as they share freely.
Many people came to this Green Corn ceremony and celebration. It was incredible and amazing how everyone assisted, cared for, and were personally involved with each and every person … and animal.
I was able to wear my first two ribbon dresses I had sewn and also try out the first pair of moccasins I created. Adjustments will happen and new garments and boots will be constructed for next Corn Planting ceremony and celebration.
I gained a “Grandpa” and was gifted training from two Grandmas on dance steps, how to hold my shawl properly, and how to move to the music in a fashion that matched the drum tempo, always pausing forward movement for the Honor Beats, dancing in place.
I learned how to pollinate the corn 🌽 also. I was gifted red corn ears from The Blue Clan and will try my newly learned process, teaching myself how to grow great, full ears of corn at harvest. It is going to be fantastic!
I am learning so much from my chosen Brothers and Sisters it fills my Heart, heals my Spirit, and nourishes my Soul.
As I sit here, all things in their place and myself finally cleaned up after four days of Sacred Relation in a dry camp, I am completely at peace. Completely. Relaxation like this doesn’t come along too often, so I will start projects that will be utilized in our next gathering, and as I create, I will think of my chosen family, loving them, excited to see them again … All of them … and the others who will come in future.
A return to the Sacred Ways is happening … now. There are so many who feel in their hearts the truth. That we have never been alone, and when we assist each other in a good way, with love and empathy in our hearts and minds, ALL honorable circumstances are possible.
Bless the Tradition Keepers, those who have safeguarded the Old Ways, so that we may return to a life of Peace.
