True Love Needs No Coaxing

I love many of the old love songs from the 70’s, they are my favorite. One thing I notice about them is they are singing of the need to convince someone of the love in their heart. I suppose this was the beginning (or perhaps the 60’s) of the shifting of love.

It seems the more we try to cling to love, the quicker it slips through the fingers. Love cannot be held, owned, possessed or controlled. Love must be set free, acknowledged for its power, and honored when it presents itself, in all forms, and also released when it’s purpose in our life (or the others) is complete.

Often when someone professes love they are laughed at, or outright attacked. Love is gentle, it is kind, it is open and free. There IS a force influencing this world to tear it down. The unconscious person flows with this attempt and acts upon it. It is no surprise that barriers have been erected to protect the heart.

I have been fortunate to love deeply four times in this life. Every time when it came to end, I was crushed … absolutely crushed. The final two times rendered me useless for the world for a time. The last especially … my mind disintegrated.

Rebuilding self I understand now that love flows, just as the shadow forms around everything, love is also intertwined there. It is a dance many call heartache. The heart aches with pure joy, and it aches when that joy decreases, or morphs into a new appearance. It is our concept of what love should be that causes this, for when it does not match our ideals, this is when the pain comes.

Love can last for short, or long times. When it stops flowing for us we tend to cling to it. The fact that love cannot be bound, is free, and moves whether we wish for it to or not often leads to pain. People have this habit of trying to force things, only making the pain worse. They forget why they loved, and it becomes anger, even hate. Rather than honoring loves flow they lay claim to it and retaliate when it is discovered to have grown wings.

It is thought that love is obligated to oblige the heart of others. Love is not obligated to anything but flow, to giving freely. I am not talking about being promiscuous or loosey goosey, but becoming part of this flow which is free.

It is a pity that love has actually come down to the physical involvement: sex. Sex is not love, it is something that accompanies it. Yet love exists even when sex is not involved. Love is so simple it is hard to understand. Humanity has complicated it with rules and stipulations. This is another one of those things that has become bastardized in this time.

There is coming a return to love, true love. Love owes us nothing, love is something we grow in our hearts until over flowing … this is how it enters the world, yet many people are looking to fill their cups from outside sources and are left wanting, every time.

Loosen up. You will begin to see the flow and a gratefulness will fill your heart when it flows your way, and you will be grateful for the next person who experiences that love which has touched you, knowing what a blessing it truly is. You will be happy for them, you will be happy you’ve had the experience, and you will be happy for the person who is sharing love with the world.

You will recognize that because love is no longer being poured into you from an outside source does not mean you are empty of love. The love within you is amplified by these gifts, and you can continue to grow your sweet garden of love yourself. Someone will come along that joins you again, and again, and again … it does not mean there will be sex involved, it means you will know what true love is, and participate in its advancement in the world.

Beautiful, whole, and free.
