In this seemingly crazy world it can be easy to say ‘nothing else matters’ but that which “I” and “mine” need. It is tempting to close down and shrink our self to those limits, however, humanity has so much more potential than that.
What really does matter?
We see that the more we close ourselves off, the less potential Divine Creation has of flowing in our lives. When we shut off the outside world and focus on our own four walls (or the walls of our flesh should we be homeless), this is the extent we are able to receive also.
I once was so heartbroken by the suffering I saw in the world, still am. The way I go about thinking of it now is different than it once was. I used to cry, and feel very bad that I could not help every. single. one of them.
Feeling sorry for people does not help them. Even should I not be able to give money or whatever they obviously need, I send blessings, praying for them to receive the strength they need to turn their situation around. It is there, within them … they may have yet to notice, though.
I was once there, living in my car, alone and feeling pretty much hopeless. Somewhere along the line, I gained hope, and my inner strength came back … perhaps it is because someone prayed that I would receive it, I do not know. Life did take a turn for the better, and it was a struggle to climb out of the pit I found myself in. But climb I did, and out I rose.
It is THIS inner fire that is most important to all life. Nurture it, do not let anyone douse it, this is your life! You are king and queen, all of you, all of us, descendants of the Most High! Never forget it.
