“Why did you choose him over me?”, he asked.
Centuries old question, arises again and again. It is clear the heart speaks its own language. Often the mind may say, “No” … yet the heart says “Yes”. One cannot deny the heart, for to do so would be untrue to self.
Since self is the one most definitely with us every day of life, self is the one we ought to be true to, regardless of what any other person thinks we ‘ought’ to do, or what they deem best for our future.
The brain does not control our heart. The heart beats on its own, chemistry either connects or repels, it isn’t a brain thing … it’s a heart and body thing, and energetic thing. Honor it … for it is trying to honor you.
When two peoples heart speak is different, let it go. Not everyone is going to feel the same as we do, they too are listening to their own heart speak. Honor their path just as you attempt to honor your own.
Really, it is hard enough to decide what is best in our own world, and many times it is discovered the decision we thought was correct, was not. Yet this is a wonderful opportunity for personal growth! Anyone who would deny an individual this freedom and advancement in knowledge is not ‘friend’.
Trust yourself, and remember, even when you think a decision was wrong, ask of the experience what is there for you to ‘learn’ and consider it a gift … every single time, for it is … the greatest gift one could ever receive.
Life lessons are priceless, even the ones that hurt. Never give up, be true to your heart, and always reach for the stars.
Joy and peace are creations of beauty … be that, share that. When it seems hardest to be the creator of peace and calm care, put that much more effort into it. The world will be of great benefit from your contribution, and you will enjoy the gift you give when you do it.
