I bought a pendulum today. It seems it can hardly say anything but no, even my name isn’t what I thought it was, apparently.
Either it’s a lemon, or the answers I seek are secret. I feel I’m getting the distinct message that this ought not to be used by me for seeking answers.
I bought several books and other items to stage an alter for my indoor personal prayers and ‘callings’. Hopefully all that goes better than the pendulum work given by my new piece of art.
I went drumming today with a group of people I hadn’t seen in quite some time today also. Oh my goodness! The energies were moving at high speed! The drum keeper brought some cards and offered everyone in the group to choose one from the deck. I pulled “Tribal Spirit Dancer”. I felt like a Spirit Dancer! And later in the day I had a chance to read what my card actually meant.
Aaaaannnndddd … release. I danced like no one was watching. I made rain (sounds) and thunder too. I really love just letting loose with that which dwells inside me. Literally, the energy had me shaking on the inside, it was great!
Yesterday I bought some prayer beads, my first strand! Now I will create a few mantras that I will use (in my own language). I’m going to write them on a miniature scroll, roll it up and put it in a little bottle, then in a leather pouch I bought. I’ll wear it, or keep it handy for those times when I need to choose a particular mantra for a particular occasion. Some day I’ll have them memorized, but while I begin my practice, this will help.
Tools! Let us take advantage of the items we have available to us to hone our concentration skills. Meditation can be a challenge, the beads help keep focus in the moment.
With all the excitement today, I think I’ll break open one of my books … right after I finish reading The Emerald Tablets of Thoth, a few excerpts are as follows:
Talking about evil turns creative force upon it
and gives it life and actuality.
Fear should not be allowed to enter self.
Neither should we create fear in another for fear is bondage.
If within our hearts we have kindness, then those of like harmony are attracted to us.
If this is not the case, then that one is ruled by disorder.
Love is the beginning and the end of the path, for in love lies oneness.
True greatness does not require self praise. Let others acknowledge your greatness which is recognized by your attitude toward your fellowman.
Strife, hatred and fear are the results of darkness. Freedom from darkness eliminates these.
Wisdom comes only to those who seek her.
You must take the first step and then continue to walk forward.
Man is not truly of the Earth or material but, in the final analysis, is the divine fire itself. The soul of man is a divine fire, a flame cast forth from the great fire yet still one with it. Light in darkness is man, yet separate in power and order.
The prayer is really a command and is for the purpose of establishing a harmony or connection between soul or consciousness and the cosmic consciousness.
