Eagle briefly showed himself to me, no words, just the fierce eyes and beak as they scouted to the right. A little later, the caterpillar looked at me from the left, big and fat.
My first impression is that the eagle is hunting the yet undeveloped butterfly, and the caterpillar knows it. There is a blending in, a sort of hide and seek … Caterpillar is intent on coming into bloom, and eagle will do everything in its power to either stop it … or ensure a path for its success?
And now I delve into the meaning of eagle and caterpillar:
Eagle ~ Can soar to great heights, while still strongly connected to the earth. Unafraid of the unknown, these seekers accept life’s challenges with unshakable courage, determination and confidence. The future holds possibilities that may not yet be seen.
Caterpillar ~ Putting everything aside it follows the drive to evolve. All things great and small are possible. Caterpillar is a symbol of evolution and transformation, with a unique level of patience as they surrender to the process of transformation. It needs to wait, they can’t just will it like the chameleon and other animals can. There is new life indwelling their bodies.
Major transformation is happening now. Patience is needed. Although the process is uncomfortable in many ways, rebirth will be swift.
