Lilith ~ Can’t Get You Out Of My Mind

LilithI can’t get Lilith out of my mind. I think of how she must have felt when a mere man behaved as though she were less than he, attempting to keep her under his thumb, ordering her around as though she were his puppet. I have lived life and experienced this myself! And I do not blame her one bit for telling him to go screw himself.  And I don’t blame her for being angry … for that ‘man’ caused her to lose her home, and her children.

I imagine she would like to return.

If you ask how Lilith herself, the first wife of Adam, became evil, the answer lies in her insubordination to her husband Adam. It is her independence from Adam, her position beyond the control of a male, that makes her “evil.”

Ever wonder who created all these ‘stories’ religions preach about? Ever wonder why the woman is seen as less valuable than dirt? Responsible for everything that has gone sour in this world? Who do you suppose planted this poison in minds?

According to the “first Eve” story Lilith was created by God from dust and placed to live in the garden with Adam until problems arose between Adam and Lilith when Adam tried to exercise dominance over Lilith …

Lilith fled the Garden of Eden to gain her independence. Adam told God that Lilith had left and God sent three angels, SenoiSansenoi, and Sammangelof, to retrieve her. The three angels found Lilith in a cave bearing children but Lilith refused to come back to the garden. The angels told her they would kill 100 of her children every day for her disobedience.

Can you just imagine being in her position?

The ultimate betrayal! How is it that what is good for one is not good for the other? Who dreamed up this out of balance wheel that has been turning this ‘life’ since time began? It’s no wonder chaos has nearly ended everything.

Perhaps there is still time to make it right. Perhaps it is possible to heal the wound(s) that have haunted this planet for it’s entire existence.
