“Most of us are familiar with computers; they seem to run everything nowadays from our washing machines to the International Space Station. A computer is made up primarily of two things: hardware (the physical components such as the monitor, the keyboard, etc.), and the software (the nonphysical programs such as Microsoft Windows, Excel, etc.)
In a sense, a computer is roughly analogous to a human being: the hardware represents the body, and the software represents the mind. But there is something missing in this analogy, because until you plug your computer into the wall ~ that is, until you supply it with energy ~ both the hardware and the software are useless.
Similarly to the computer, neither your body nor mind would function without the energy that powers them.
This energy is what I affectionately refer to as your Inner Fire.
Your Inner Fire is the vital energy within you, the unseen force that gives life to your being. When you take a moment to stop, get quiet, and feel deep within yourself, on a level deeper than thought, you will find this energy waiting and powering you through every moment in your life.”
~ Awaken your Inner Fire, by Heatherash Amara
The energy we all have powering our personal lives is the most valuable thing we own. When we use it for discord, we flame the fire of harm and disaster which affects all life surrounding us, and like ripples it touches all of the other people whos energy is being used in this manner, it rushes over everything creating chaos. When we use it for peace, we flame the fire of care and compassion which affects all life surrounding us and like ripples it touches all of the other people whos energy is being used in this manner, it flows over everything creating a sense of calm strength.
Time, although we do not own it and borrow it only, is our second precious resource. Within it is the water and foods for survival. When we waste time doing harmful things we contribute to the destruction we see prevalent in today’s world.
Breaking free from conditioning, we can determine for ourselves in the very heart of our being whether we truly wish to spend our energy and time fostering ruination or whether we prefer to foster the nurturing of the communal garden for the prospering of all life.
