Salt Lamps & Negative Ions

Salt lamps

Last night I bought two salt lamps and placed one in my bedroom and the other in my living room, there are now 2 in each of these rooms. I understood they would generate negative ions, which in turn would level out the atmosphere. For some reason, I’ve been waking every hour or so. I wake at 2 a.m. to investigate.

“Negative ions are invisible, scentless, and tasteless. But, your body can sense when there is an abundance. That feeling you get when you arrive at a beach or waterfall is because of negative ions. It’s refreshing and energizing.”

“Our bodies have biochemical reactions to negative ions that are revitalizing and energizing. There is a reason why we feel the way we do right after a good rainfall or being near a river. Negative ions increase oxygen flow in the brain.”

“Once they reach our bloodstream, negative ions are believed to produce biochemical reactions that increase levels of the mood chemical serotonin, helping to alleviate depression, relieve stress, and boost our daytime energy.”

Although I am normally restless anyhow, tonight I feel very wakeful. I will continue sleeping with this salt lamp in my room (now 2) and see how it affects by nights, and my days. I do feel invigorated, perhaps I will be able to remain awake longer during the day and not sleep so much with this addition. It would be nice to gain, and feel, more energy.
