A twinge strikes the tenderness of a wound,
Muscles spasm in reaction.
Patience is wearing thin,
No distractions, for they are irritating,
Nearly as irritating as this periodic burning.
A friend says hello, and another does as well,
Struggle to respond wriggles from dry fingers ~
Restless legs kick out,
Breath expelled, held,
And expelled again.
Time to do something about it.
