In the beginning humanity lived with a pure heart, joy filled and kind. In naivete they trusted and fell into that which causes unsettling emotions, predicaments arose which stripped them of surety and peace. As time continued, these defensive habits, practiced and utilized in order to form a barrier of perceived protection, were taught to others, ‘improved’ upon, the wall between each individual growing ever thicker.
Soon, people peered at each other with a paranoid fear, assuming that whoever they came into contact with had the intention of harming them. Their shields would raise and they would close off from them, staying in the dream they created within their own minds.
When they closed off, living decidedly in fear, they also closed off all possibility of love reaching them, they became trapped in an invisible cage. This cage, filled with pain and fear prohibits them from coming into the fullness of their being. They are afraid of being vulnerable, they are afraid of being hurt, they no longer take risks.
This mess we find ourselves in is stifling, yet it is still possible to break free from the bindings … we need no key, we need no permission, it is our right and all we must do is choose it.
Great courage is found in the hearts that are willing to stand in vulnerability. It is true that there will be those who throw invisible darts and attempt to get you to shrink, to retreat into the little cage once again. But you remember … you remember that joy is outside of these walls, you remember that there is true love waiting for you here. You have missed it so much, and you now know that only you are preventing the truth of it, and the experience of its reality.
And so you commit to feeling the pain, you know it well. You commit to it, for you know that on the other side is limitless love, and until you wade through that which causes suffering, you will not find it.
Your courage is commendable, for in your brave endeavors you show others how to unleash that which binds them. You provide hope as you present a path of release. You assist the world on its journey back to freedom, you grow compassionate understanding and the ability to rise, and to assist others in rising, with every step you take.
