Veneer Of Success ~ Appearances Do Not Always Tell The Truth

Published June 23, 2017 by tindertender

Driving along I see houses, they look nice. I round about to the other side and I see it is an illusion, for these houses are only set under a canopy, they are actually decaying under it. Upon entering one of them I see the family there, indeed the many families, they are gathered together in chairs lined against the wall. They sit there with nothing to do but consider their dilemma. There is little food. They wash their dishes and rinse in a shallow tub of water, small suds left behind of the little soap they have to use, residue left on them. The children are thin and sickly, the adults are dirty. The animals are hungry.

This is our world today. On the surface, it seems all is well, yet just under, people are starving … for love, for compassion, for inner nourishment, for care. There is a great pretending going on and people are hiding behind a facade, hiding their reality. There are those who tell of it, they line the streets in their tents, they build little “camping communities” and those with actual houses scoff and complain of the “eye sore” this appears to be. They do not understand that anyone can wind up here in a flash, themselves included.

The banking system is an illusion of wealth. The value of our dollar is a pretending, and at any time this system can crash, what we think we have saved is only an electronic statement. The bank does not have this money on hand, it is yet another illusion. We are as poor as those who do not have privilege of this electronic statement of wealth. Only difference is, we do not know it, for the most part. We continue in the game.

Just 2 generations ago, families would save cash, buy with cash, and not purchase anything on credit. If they did not have the money, they went without until they did. In today’s world, no one has cash, they buy on credit, ownership is an illusion. Nothing is owned. Indeed, even when things were bought with cash, ownership was still an illusion, for none of it can be taken with us when our body stops its functioning. What is left brings out the savage in people as they fight over who gets what.

We are disconnected from each other, more now than ever. This has been fostered over time … divide and conquer. We have lost our freedom and now that we are so separated, we cannot even stand together and fight for ourselves or the children or even the animals which need nurturing, we are their voice too. No, we are a sickly nation without defense.

We are disconnected from the earth, from all of the elements. We don’t have capacity to see that our habits are killing the planet we live on, all of the resources are being poisoned and used up. The atmosphere is so dirty and full of toxins we are becoming sick. Our illnesses are a personal manifestation of what we are doing to the earth. We are sick, the earth is sick. The waters are sick. The air is sick.

The warriors that have been trained to protect freedom, who have sworn to protect the people form harm, are transported to other countries … we are left to fend for ourselves. While they are away “fighting for liberty” the liberties of their own country are being stripped away. When they return, they are tossed aside at a certain age when they no longer travel elsewhere for freedoms sake, and they are left without sufficient funds to care for themselves, their families, and they see that what they spent their lives fighting for has deteriorated in the country they so love. As this knowledge sets in, it may affect their health and well being, and they discover the care they deserve after giving their lives in service is not there for them, and they find they’ve been betrayed.

Indeed, we are all being betrayed.

These are dire times.
We live according to lies told us.
If we do not start caring for each other, we will perish.
Those in the house will take and take until there is nothing left.
We must strip off the blinders and learn to truly see.
There is very little opportunity left to turn this around.
