I was listening to a song today by a woman who decided she was not ill, and threw away the pills that allowed her not to feel. The album is 4 Stories High * Detour.
It touched me deeply when at one point she stated “We share God’s name.”
“God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you’” (Exodus 3:14).
God’s name is “I Am.” It is not “I Was” or “I Will Be” because God does not change. We can put our full trust in God because he is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He does not change. He is “I Am.”
What are the two words we say all the time when we are describing anything about ourselves? Do you suppose this is a coincidence? I’m curious to know how many of you might take this knowledge and think very deeply on it.
I am also curious to know with what reverence and responsibility you will apply to this knowledge. Take ego out of it, and look at everyone you meet … listen to them as they state I Am …. this, or that. Listen to yourself, count how many times you say this. You will hear it being said all day long, from so many people. How long do you think it will take for the light to go on and true value of ourselves as a person in body becomes realized?
